Manchester United have reportedly held 'initial negotiations' with Monaco centre-back Axel Disasi.
According to the Daily Mail, United are eyeing up a possible move for the 24-year-old. They report that Erik ten Hag's side will face competition from numerous Premier League clubs, with West Ham and Tottenham both believed to be interested.
It is claimed that the club have held discussions with the defender and his representatives over a possible move and that the Frenchman is expected to leave the Ligue 1 side either in January or in the summer. Disasi made his international debut for France during the World Cup in Qatar, two years after he signed for Monaco.

Elsewhere, Spanish outlet Sport (via the Mirror) report that United have suffered a blow in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund star Youssoufa Moukoko.
They claim that Barcelona are confident that Moukoko is leaning towards a move to Camp Nou, or renewing his deal with the Bundesliga club.
The 17-year-old's contract comes to an end this summer and there appears to be growing concern among the hierarchy at the Black and Yellows that they may lose their teenage star for free if they fail to agree a January deal. United had reportedly been looking to take advantage of the situation and position themselves as a potential destination for Moukoko in what could have been a cut-price move.
But the latest news comes as a bitter blow to Ten Hag, as the club look set to miss out on bolstering their attack with the forward in the winter window.
