Open-air concert, discussion, music creation clinic and the presentation of the album “Akogare” are part of the free program that closes the month of January.
The Galo Sepúlveda library and cultural center says goodbye to the month of January with a varied grill of artistic and cultural activities that begin on Friday the 27th and end on Tuesday the 31st of January.
Friday, January 27 / 5:00 p.m. / Concert and discussion “Treiles in the city”
The invitation is for this Friday, January 27, starting at 5:00 p.m., with the visit of the instrumental ensemble “Treiles en la Ciudad”, a musical group that is inspired by rock, jazz and melodic and rhythmic motifs of mapuche. On the occasion, the band will hold a conversation about their compositions, influences and inspirations, and then bring us a concert that will cover the most remote sounds of the territory, an amalgamation that results from the musical work between fields, towns and cities in southern Chile.
The activity will have the special participation of the multi-instrumentalist and composer from Temuco, Andrés Mella, known for being part of the regional band “Restos de Violeta” and his work as a soloist with his albums Canción del Aire, La Fuente de los Colores and Experiencia Implosive, in which he offers his poetic singing, intricate rhythms and ethereal atmospheres.
Friday, January 27 / 8:00 p.m. / Concert “Guerrera Xampurria”, Kuamboka.
On the same day, but at 8:00 p.m., the writer and composer Kuamboka (Pamela Larrechea) will perform in an intimate concert called “Guerrera Xampurria” in which she will celebrate her 6 years of musical career where she will perform songs from her latest album. “Ciclo 6 el a-mor” and songs from his next musical work. On the occasion, the artist, who maintains the legacy of popular music from the Araucanía coast, will have the participation of the regional composer, Cauro e Campo, from the Curarrehue commune. In addition, part of her repertoire will be performed in sign language, for a show that promises to experience various sensations in which she will talk about love, justice, territory, and female empowerment.
Saturday, January 28 / 6:00 p.m. / Presentation of the album “Akogare” by the duo Gloria Araneda and Carlos Lloró
Next Saturday, January 28, from 6:00 p.m., in the Galo Sepúlveda cultural space, the singer Gloria Araneda and the guitarist and writer Carlos Lloró will present their album “Akogare”. This album is a compilation of Japanese poems turned into songs by the writer himself (Cried). The word AKOGARE, in Japanese, reflects the feeling of nostalgia that arises before an unknown reality whose discovery provides aesthetic pleasure and the possibility of self-knowledge on a deeper level.
The free activity and open to the community, will have the special participation of Nury Cid and Shimmi Toshio.
