Very soon Chile will be facing an electoral process. On May 7th we will have to elect the new members of the Council of Constituents. I am concerned that messages that have no legal basis are being sent and that slogans resembling cold war trenches are falling for them.
In my opinion they get carried away by analyzes or diagnoses that do not have a dialectical and scientific investigation of reality. For example calling for null voting in these elections not considering that these next elections are completely different from the first electoral process carried out in May 2021 to elect the 155 members of the Constituent Convention. The results of this constitutional process we know perfectly well the people rejected the Convention’s proposal.
In this sense a parenthesis. A self-critical thought the mastery and force that the right has over the media was underestimated. The “fake news” did their thing; as a popular adage says: they gave us shot width and side.
