Electrifying! This is how Angra Fest will be. Conceived by the band Angra, the festival has been going around the country for a few years and brings a mix of music, rock culture and attitude. This will be his debut in Curitiba with big names in national metal. Performed by Prime and Top Link, the edition in Curitiba will take place on March 25 at Arena White Hall Jockey Eventos (R: Dino Bertoldi, 740) and will have a heavy line-up, formed by the hosts Angra and also by Matanza Ritual , Viper and the Electric Mob from Curitiba. Gates open at 3pm.

Formed in 1991, the group currently has musicians Fabio Lione (vocals), Rafael Bittencourt (guitar), Marcelo Barbosa (guitar), Felipe Andreoli (bass) and Bruno Valverde (drums). Known for being among the biggest names in Brazilian heavy metal in the world, they released acclaimed albums and built a glorious career. At the moment, the group is performing shows in celebration of the band’s 30th anniversary, playing the greatest hits and recording a new studio record that will be released in 2023.
Killing Ritual
Formed by a team of national rock stars such as Jimmy London (vocals), Antônio Araújo (guitar), Felipe Andreoli (bass) and Amílcar Christofáro (drums), Matanza Ritual played shows throughout Brazil during 2022. Angra Fest, the Ritual will feature bassist Juninho (Ratos de Porão) replacing Felipe Andreoli. About the group, vocalist Jimmy London emphasizes: “Ritual was born because the need to purge our demons never dies. Each show is an exorcism of the perrengues we go through on a day-to-day basis, and we use art to vomit everything bad and leave sweaty, happy and tired”. He adds: “Our idea is not to form a band, not even a project. We want to create a celebration, revive that “insane ritual” that used to happen at Matanza concerts, and for that we called on the best of the best musicians in the country to be the monks of all the madness”, he says.

VIPER was born in 1985 and two years later released ‘Soldiers of Sunrise’, a milestone in the history of Brazilian rock. The group’s history is impressive because the members with an average of 16 years had a musical quality above the expected for their age and for the time. Considered one of the great national heavy metal bands, they recently released the single “Under The Sun”, their first new song in 15 years. Currently, the formation of the group is composed by Leandro Caçoilo (vocals), Felipe Machado (guitar), Pit Passarel (bass), Guilherme Martin (drums) and Kiko Shred (guitar).

The group from Paraná, which promises a great show at Angra Fest, has just released its newest album. “2 Make U Cry & Dance” hits the market through the Italian record label Frontiers Music with the arduous task of succeeding the exciting “Discharge” (2020), responsible for raising people from Curitiba to the top of the hard rock world. Right from their first album, Electric Mob achieved some notable achievements, such as winning the respect of specialized critics, playing on radio stations in Europe and the United States, entering the Billboard/BDS Indicator Chart and reaching really expressive numbers on streaming platforms.
But apparently, the weight and responsibility of living up to the high expectations – of the public, the media, the record company and even themselves -, did not affect the quartet formed by Renan Zonta (vocals), Ben Hur Auwarter (guitar) ), Yuri Elero (bass) and André Leister (drums). “2 Make U Cry & Dance” is more than a natural evolution of “Discharge”, it’s a leap forward.
