(ANSA) – ROME, MARCH 06 – Creed III, sequel to the 2018 film
Creed II and ninth installment of the Rocky Balboa saga (first film
without the boxer character), conquers the top in his debut
of the Italian box office, reaching nearly 3 million euros in collections
(2 million 990 thousand euros) and leaving all the others behind.
The Whale, dramatic story revolving around obesity and
social stigma starring Brendan Fraser, is second with
605 thousand euros (1.5 million in two weeks). In third place there is
the Mummies cartoon – A walk in time, a fun adventure between
Ancient Egypt and Modern-day London by Juan Jesus Garcia, con
466 thousand euros (1.3 million in two weeks). It stops at 415 thousand
euro box office, and ends off the podium, Ant-Man and The
Wasp: Quantummania’, the new Marvel Studios film at the top
seven days ago and which exceeded 5.5 million in 3 weeks.
Goes straight into fifth position Mixed by Erry, la
film by Sydney Sibilia which narrates the story of Enrico
Frattasio, king of pirated tapes in the eighties, with
247 thousand euros. Comedy slips from third to sixth place
by Alessandro Siani Through Amicizia with 237 thousand euros (2 million
715 thousand euros in three weeks). In seventh place Not so close
(A man called Otto) by Marc Forster with 408,860 euros for two
weeks followed by 202 thousand euros (1 million 256 thousand euros in three
weeks).
Three new entries close the top ten: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu
No Yaiba – To The Swordsmith Village, new chapter of the saga
taken from the manga written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotōge (192 thousand
euros), Empire of light by Sam Mendes (191 thousand euros) and the
Spanish-Belgian thriller and social drama directed by Juan Diego
Botto, All in one day (88 thousand euros).
The total at the Italian box office from March 2 to 5, according to i
Cinetel data, is 6,381,080 euros, an increase of 11% compared
