The public rapporteur recommended during a hearing at the administrative court of Rennes this Friday March 3 2023 to cancel the building permit granted by the mayor of Larmor-Baden to the Giboire group. The latter plans to build a luxury hotel complex on Berder Island.
The building permit granted to the Giboire group for its luxury hotel project on Ile Berder had already been suspended by the administrative court of Rennes on April 12 2022. This hotel complex of more than 8000 m2 is supposed to house 90 rooms with swimming pool and spa.
The project had however officially been abandoned in July 2021 as Michel Giboire announced the day after the partial cancellation of the local urban plan (PLU) of the municipality of Larmor-Baden by the administrative court of Rennes. But this cancellation is not final to date: an appeal has been filed before the Council of State.
